For the Alpena Wildcats, Sobeck won 10 letters (4 Softball, 4 Volleyball, 2 Basketball). At AHS she earned multiple records in the volleyball and softball record books. This also included honors for each sport at the conference, district, regional levels including 1st Team All-State as a shortstop for softball. Sobeck was recruited to play division one softball at Central Michigan University to pursue her Secondary Education degree.
Awards earned at Central include being a 4-year starter as an outfielder, 2-time All-Mid-American Conference awards, 2005 MAC All-Conference Tournament Team, 5-time MAC West Division Player of the Week. Sobeck graduated Central with a teaching degree and also multiple single-season and career records including tied for the all-time home run record, top 5 in doubles & RBI’s, top 10 in Triples, and earned herself the Team Strength & Conditions Awards sophomore through her senior year.
Before exploring Australia for her student teaching experience she returned to ACC and fulfilled her athletic eligibility and played on ACC’s volleyball team. After all graduation requirements were completed she returned to Alpena with a teaching position. and continued her career with the USA Women’s Baseball team.
Sobeck continued her athletic career with the USA Women’s Baseball team. She played at this elite level for women’s baseball and was the only member from Michigan. She was a 5-time member of USA Women’s Baseball team, as a pitcher and outfielder. Sobeck has competed in 3 Friendship Baseball Tourneys with Canada, Japan and Australia and training sessions in North Carolina. In 2008 she traveled to the World Cup in Japan and helped Team USA win the bronze. Later in 2010 Sobeck competed for Team USA in Venezuela’s World Cup and earned another bronze medal.
She is employed by Alpena Public Schools at the middle school as a home economics teacher. In the last 13 years, Sobeck has also coached basketball (2 years), volleyball (12 years), and an assistant on the Alpena Varsity Softball program. In 2015 she was inducted into the Alpena Sports Hall of Fame.
Sobeck is married to her husband Jason and has three children.

Walk-Off Seals Win for DuPage Against ACC Lumberjacks
A walk-off left Alpena Community College Lumberjacks on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Dupage on Sunday. The game was tied at seven with Dupage batting in the bottom of the seventh when #12 singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Despite the loss, Alpena community college Lumberjacks Varsity did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Dupage had 13 hits on the way to victory.
#12 was in the pitcher's circle for Dupage. The pitcher went two and a third innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits and striking out two.
Alaina Saari was in the circle for Alpena Community College Lumberjacks Varsity. Saari surrendered four runs on seven hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. Jade Schultz threw two and a third innings out of the bullpen.

Dupage totaled 13 hits. #13, #1 O, #17, and #3 all managed multip1le hits for Du page. #13 went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Dupage in hits. Dupage was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. #3 made the most plays with seven.

ACC Lumberjacks Takes a Tough Blow from St. CharlesACC struggled to get their offense going on Monday, getting easily dispatched by St. Charles, 16-1.
St. Charles scored seven runs in the third inning. St. Charles big bats were led by #9, #2, #10, #18, #20, #11, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
#17 got the start for St. Charles. The bulldog surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out three.
Maddy Wilkinson, Jade Schultz, Rhea Amrich, Breya Domke, and Paige Wooden each managed one hit to lead ACC.
St. Charles totaled 16 hits. #30, #10, #18, #11, and #4 each had multiplre hits for St. Charles.

ACC Takes Early Lead in Victory Over KishwakeeACC jumped out to an early lead over Kishwakee and took home an 8-4 victory on Sunday. ACC scored on a walk by Paige Wooden in the first inning, a triple by Rhea Amrich in the second inning, and a single by Jade Schultz in the second inning.
ACC pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Amrich tripled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Schultz singled on a 0-1 count scoring one run.
Schultz was on the rubber for ACC. Schultz went seven innings allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out 16.
ACC had 11 hits in the game. Makayla Kamyszek, Olivia Leland, Amrich, and Schultz each managed multiple hits for ACC. Schultz, Amrich, Leland, and Kamyszek all had two hits to lead ACC.
Kishwakee racked up seven hits in the game. #23 and #22 all managed multiple hits for Kishwakee.

ACC Can't Catch Up to St. CharlesACC fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-0 loss to St. Charles on Sunday. St. Charles scored on a single by #11, a double by #18, and a groundout by #22 in the first inning.
The ACC Lumberjacks struggled to contain the high-powered offense of St. Charles, giving up nine runs.
St. Chalres opened up scoring in the first inning. #11 drove in one when #11 singled.
A single by Olivia Leland in the first inning was a positive for ACC.
Makayla Kamyszek toed the rubber for ACC. The righthander lasted two innings, allowing seven hits and six runs. Liz Romel and Rhea Amrich entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
Leland, #23, and Paige Wooden each collected one hit to lead ACC. ACC was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Wooden had the most chances in the field with eight.

ACC Falls to Monroe on Walk-OffACC fell to Monroe 5-4 on Monday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at four with Monroe batting in the bottom of the seventh when #00 singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
In the first inning, ACC got their offense started. Breya Domke drove in one when Domke singled.

ACC Defeats SUNY Purchase Despite Allowing a 5-Run InningSUNY Purchase scored five runs in the first inning, but ACC still won 11-5 on Tuesday. The big inning for SUNY Purchase came thanks to singles by Nero and Comb and a double by Jennings.
ACC secured the victory thanks to six runs in the third inning. Shae Lampinen, Breya Domke, Paige Wooden, Kyra Lucas, and Avery Zipp all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
SUNY Purchase got on the board in the first inning. SUNY Purchase scored three runs when Jennings doubled.
In the bottom of the second inning, ACC tied things up at five. Lucas singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
ACC pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for ACC, Domke singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Lucas drew a walk, scoring one run, and Zipp tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Liz Romel was on the rubber for ACC. The righty allowed three hits and five runs, walking one.
Palermo was in the pitcher's circle for SUNY Purchase. The pitcher allowed 12 hits and 11 runs over six innings, striking out four.
