ACC Foundation
Investing in Futures, Strengthening Our Community
Education changes lives, and here in Northeast Michigan, it strengthens our entire community.
Since 1982, the Alpena Community College Foundation has helped students take that first step forward. Through scholarships, program support, and strategic investments in technology and facilities, the Foundation ensures that opportunity is within reach, right here at ACC.
But this work goes beyond dollars. It’s about a single parent returning to finish a degree. A first-generation student finding their path. A local employer is gaining a skilled, career-ready workforce.
None of this happens without people who care.
The ACC Foundation is guided by a dedicated board of community leaders and fueled by the generosity of donors who believe in the power of education. Together, we are opening doors, removing barriers, and building a stronger future for our region.
What Your Gift Makes Possible
Every gift to the Alpena Community College Foundation creates opportunity in our community. Your support helps remove barriers, strengthen programs, and ensure students have what they need to succeed.
Removing Everyday Barriers
For many students, it’s not just tuition - it’s the small, everyday costs that can stand in the way. Foundation support helps with:
- Gas cards to get to and from class
- Housing stipends for students facing financial strain
- Assistance with books, tools, and required supplies
These simple supports can be the difference between stopping out and staying on track.
Fighting Food Insecurity
The Foundation plays a vital role in supporting campus food access, including The Market at ACC and additional pantry locations. Contributions help stock shelves, expand services, and ensure students have reliable access to nutritious food so they can focus on learning rather than worrying about their next meal.
Creating Pathways Through Scholarships
Scholarships remain at the heart of the Foundation’s mission, opening doors for recent graduates, adult learners, and those returning to finish what they started. These awards reduce financial stress and make higher education more accessible.
Strengthening Programs & Workforce Training
Foundation support enhances hands-on learning, equipment, and program development—ensuring students graduate with real-world skills that meet local employers' needs.
Investing in a Stronger Community
When students succeed, our entire region benefits. The ACC Foundation helps build a skilled workforce, supports local families, and strengthens Northeast Michigan for generations to come.
You’re not just donating - you’re making a difference that lasts for generations.
