We created The Market at ACC because we know that when students are worried about where their next meal is coming from, they can’t focus on their studies.
Free food? Yes, really! Introducing The Market at ACC
ACC received a MiLEAP Hunger Free Campus grant, allowing the expansion of campus food pantries to better serve ACC students at both the Alpena and Oscoda campuses. There are four convenient locations offering a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, and shelf-stable items.
All items are free and available to any ACC student, including early college and dual-enrolled students. Students must have a valid student ID to access the pantries. Please choose a reasonable amount for your personal needs, and remember that other students rely on The Market, too.
To keep The Market available and well-stocked for everyone, excessive or inappropriate use may result in temporary or permanent suspension of Market privileges.

Cooking & Nutrition Workshops
Eating well doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. Thanks to grant funding, ACC students can participate in a series of FREE nutrition and cooking workshops designed to help you fuel your body, save money, and build healthy habits that fit your busy schedule.
Certified nutritionist Jess Krawczak will share practical tips, easy recipes, and strategies you can use right away—whether you're living on campus, commuting, or simply looking for healthier meal ideas.

Donating to The Market at ACC
The Market at ACC welcomes both food and monetary donations to help keep our shelves stocked for students. We especially appreciate unexpired, student-friendly foods such as cereal, soups, pasta and rice mixes, snacks, canned meals, and other shelf-stable favorites.
When donating food, please choose items you would feel good about serving in your own home. We are unable to accept expired items, bulk commodity foods, powdered milk, or older pantry items with damaged, dusty, or questionable packaging. Monetary donations are also welcome and allow us to purchase fresh foods and the items our students need most.
