Are you a nurse who is thinking about returning to school for a bachelor’s degree in nursing? SVSU’s RN to BSN program has been designed for the working RN. The program can be completed in as few as four semesters or completed at your own pace. Courses are offered either fully online or in a hybrid format and instructors use a variety of teaching tools for every learning style. Clinical experiences will consist of participating in online simulation, working with preceptors, and developing quality improvement projects. Our RN to BSN Coordinator is a registered nurse who will advise and guide you every step of the way.
Alpena Community College has selected SVSU as its partner university for nurses to complete their bachelor's degrees. Under the agreement, students who complete an Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) at ACC can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from SVSU's fully accredited program.
The ACC/SVSU RN to BSN Scholarship is awarded to ACC students and nursing program graduates (within five years of graduation) who enroll in the SVSU RN to BSN program. Scholarship award amounts are $5,000-$7,500. Scholarship details can be found in the scholarship application.

UM-Flint
The School of Nursing at the University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) welcomes Alpena Community College nursing students interested in transferring to UM-Flint in order to pursue their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
The School of Nursing at UM-Flint offers:
- Accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Highly accomplished professors who actively engage in teaching and research.

In order to receive your BSN, you must meet the following requirements:
- Complete a minimum 120 credits, meeting all program requirements. At least 45 credits must be taken at UM-Flint. Please note, if you are a previous University of Michigan graduate, 30 credits must be taken at UM-Flint.*
- You must earn a C+ (2.3 GPA) or better in all prerequisite, NUR, and NSC coursework to fulfill degree requirements.
- Degree requirements must be completed within seven years of admission to the RN to BSN completion program.
* Credit in nursing and non-nursing courses may be acquired through transfer of credits, credit by examination (CBE), and by course enrollment.
- Current ACC Students may enroll as a UM-Flint Guest Student while completing coursework at ACC. A Financial Aid Consortium Agreement is in place for students who wish to utilize financial aid between ACC and UM-Flint.
- MidMichigan Medical Center RNs may enroll as a UM-Flint Transfer Student.
- New ACC Students can apply to ACC online or contact the ACC Admissions Office at 989.358.7339 for more information about becoming a student.

This program is designed for currently licensed registered nurses who are seeking a bachelor’s degree in nursing. The purpose of the bachelor’s degree nursing program at Davenport University is to prepare graduates to advance in the nursing profession through the use of critical thinking, advanced assessment skills, communication, collaborating practices, applied research, self-directed learning, leadership, and management skills. Transfer/Advanced Standing Credit
- 60 credit hours of transfer credit will be granted for the completion of an associate degree nursing program.
- BSN Concurrent students require a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- BSN Completion students require a minimum of 2.5 GPA.
- 30 credit hours of advanced standing credit will be granted for successful completion of the NCLEX.
90 credit hours granted, only leaves 31 residency credits to be completed at DU for bachelor's degree completion.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree requirements must be met based on the catalog year of acceptance to the BSN Completion Program.

Chamberlain
ACC graduates who successfully pass the NCLEX typically receive 77 credits towards Chamberlain’s 122 credit RN-BSN program. Those individuals would then have the opportunity to bring in up to an additional 15 credits from the attached transfer guide.
