Timely Warnings
If there is a timely warning in effect, more information will be included at the following location: ACC Timely Warnings
A timely warning is a communication required by the Jeanne Clery Act for higher education institutions to alert the campus community about Clery Act crimes that are considered to represent a serious or continuing threat to students and employees. These warnings, also known as crime alerts, are issued without delay to enable people to take safety precautions, providing details such as the type of crime, location, suspect description, and safety tips to prevent similar incidents. The primary purpose of a timely warning is crime prevention by enabling the community to take measures to protect themselves from becoming victims of similar crimes.

Emergency Alerts
The campus community will be notified immediately upon confirmation of a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or employees on campus. This would include, for example, bomb threats, armed intruders, explosions, outbreak of meningitis, etc.

In the event of an emergency, an alert will be posted on the ACC home page.

Students can also receive notification through the SchoolMessenger system.

For more information about timely warnings see ACC Policy 7005. For more information about emergency alerts see ACC Policy 7006.
