Industrial Tech Certificate Curriculum
The Industrial Technology certificate program at Alpena Community College’s Oscoda Campus is designed to give students the basis for overall knowledge for employment into entry level positions for industry and manufacturing. Employers in Iosco County are looking for workers with the proper training and skills to fill hundreds of new positions in the next three years. Preparation
Before starting any program at ACC, a student’s academic background, assessment scores or testing results are reviewed to determine the right courses to take. Review classes are also available to prepare students to meet the academic requirements of these programs. Students are strongly urged to meet with their academic advisors to determine the best pathway towards successful academic and career goal completion.
State-of-the-art Tech Lab
Classes are taught in a brand new, state-of-the-art technology lab right on the Oscoda campus! Built in 2016 as a collaborative effort between the TAACCCT Grant and the State of Michigan Community College Skilled Trades Equipment program, this hands-on lab gives students the opportunity to work with the same technology and equipment that they’ll work with on the job.
